The IIWC hosted its 118th Annual General Meeting on the 24th February 2022 at the Park Inn by Radisson, Foreshore.
The event started with guest speaker, Adrian Alberts, challenging us to evolve our thinking. This was a not-to-be-missed discussion about thinking differently, rather than the obvious, think ‘Black Hearts and Red Spades’, also the name of his podcast that you can listen to here.
This was followed by David Chow, the current President of the IIWC, taking us through the highlights of 2021. We have grown our membership by 10% during the 2021 period and were fortunate enough to donate an excess of R 400 000 to our Charities.
Treasurer, Kurt Stanley, took us through the 2021 Audited Annual Financial Statements and was excited to share that during 2021 a three-tier payment rule and qualitative checks have been put in place to ensure funds are managed safely and responsibly.
Last, but not least, Vice President Robyn Petersen shared the new exciting theme for 2022: IIWC Eco-System - Where every aspect of this business intertwines in order to achieve membership satisfaction and societal contributions by Engaging through events, Empowering members, and Enabling charities.
We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Auto and General for sponsoring the event and congratulations to our lucky draw winners.
